FAQ

1. Technical - General

1-1. Do you have ISO certifications?

Purlin Automation follows structured quality and manufacturing practices. Current certification documents and applicable scopes can be requested from our team.

1-2. Do you have standard off-the-shelf products?

We offer standard product families, while many configurations can be adapted to meet the customer's application, dimensions, performance and control requirements.

1-3. Can you provide position feedback on your products?

Selected actuators and motion systems can support position feedback options such as Hall-effect sensing or potentiometer feedback, depending on the model.

1-4. Is a control box necessary to operate the equipment?

Not always. Some products can operate with a suitable power supply or battery. A control box is useful when synchronized movement, handset operation, programmable functions or multiple actuators are required.

1-5. Can you provide controls?

Yes. Depending on the system, we can provide compatible hand controls, foot switches, control boxes, power supplies and other control accessories.

2. Technical - Linear Actuators

2-1. What motor voltage do you offer for your electric linear actuators?

Common configurations include 12 VDC and 24 VDC. Other electrical configurations may be available for selected models; please contact our sales team for the exact product specification.

2-2. What is the maximum load supported by your linear electric actuators?

Load capacity depends on the actuator model, duty cycle, speed, stroke and installation conditions. Please use the relevant product datasheet for the rated push and pull loads.

2-3. What is the maximum speed of your linear electric actuators?

Speed varies by actuator model and load. The product datasheet provides the rated speed and performance conditions for each configuration.

2-4. What is the maximum stroke of your linear electric actuators?

Stroke options vary by product family and configuration. Standard and customized stroke lengths may be available depending on the application.

2-5. Is it possible to program several speeds on the same stroke? Can you program stroke length as well?

For systems using programmable control boxes, motion profiles can support different speeds, stroke limits and operating parameters. The available functions depend on the controller and actuator combination.

2-6. How can you guarantee the positioning of the linear actuators in case of equipment shutdown?

Where supported, position sensors can provide feedback to the control system. The controller can use this information to monitor position and re-establish synchronization after a power interruption, subject to the system design.

2-7. Can your linear electric actuators be controlled by existing systems?

Many of our products can be integrated into customer control systems when the electrical interface, voltage, current and control method are compatible. Our technical team can help define the interface.

2-8. How do I synchronize two electric motors?

A compatible multi-channel control box can synchronize multiple actuators using position feedback where supported. The correct controller depends on the number of actuators and required feedback method.

2-9. Are your linear electric actuators resistant to dirt or water?

Ingress protection varies by model. Please check the IP rating in the applicable datasheet and select a product suitable for the dust, moisture, cleaning and environmental conditions of your application.

2-10. Do your linear electric actuators work on autonomous equipment?

They can be used in mobile or autonomous equipment when the actuator, battery, control system and environmental rating are appropriately selected for the application.

2-11. How do I choose the suitable actuator for my product?

Start with the application's main requirements:

  • Required load or force
  • Required speed
  • Stroke length
  • Duty cycle
  • Installation space and mounting points
  • Environmental and ingress-protection requirements
  • Feedback and control requirements

Our technical team can help review these requirements and identify suitable configurations.

3. Technical - Lifting Columns

3-1. How do I choose the suitable lifting columns for my product?

Choose a column according to the required height range, load capacity, speed, installation dimensions and control method.

  • Required height adjustment range
  • Load capacity and speed
  • Available installation space
  • Number of stages and column geometry
  • Required feedback and control options
  • Environmental requirements

3-2. Can multiple lifting columns move together?

Yes, compatible lifting columns can be synchronized using a suitable multi-channel control system and, where required, position feedback.

3-3. Can lifting columns be customized?

Selected dimensions, stroke ranges, mounting configurations, colors, connectors and control options may be customizable. Availability depends on the product family and application volume.

3-4. What applications are lifting columns suitable for?

They can be used in height-adjustable workstations, industrial equipment, ergonomic systems, medical equipment and other applications requiring controlled vertical movement.

4. Ordering & Contact

4-1. What is the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)?

MOQ can vary by product, configuration and customization. Please contact our sales team for the MOQ applicable to your requirement.

4-2. What are your lead times?

Lead time depends on product availability, configuration, order quantity and customization. Our sales team can confirm the current lead time for a quotation.

4-3. How much do your products cost? Can you give me an estimate?

Pricing depends on the product model, specifications, quantity and application. Please send us your requirements and we can prepare a quotation.
