Purlin Automation Actuators
Purlin Automation designs and manufactures electric linear actuators, lifting columns and control systems for the people who build hospital beds, standing desks and heavy equipment. Every unit starts as a conversation about your application, not a catalogue number.
We believe any motion problem can be solved with the right actuator, not a bigger one.
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems are noisy, messy and hard to maintain in equipment that sits in a home or a hospital room. Our team specializes in custom electric linear actuators for manufacturers of medical, furniture and industrial equipment, working from your load, stroke and duty-cycle requirements rather than a fixed part number.
As a manufacturing partner, we aim to combine dependable engineering with components that stay affordable at production volume — and we stand behind every unit that leaves the factory.

What makes a Purlin Automation actuator different
Off-the-shelf actuators are built to survive a spec sheet. Ours are built to survive your product — running quietly in a bedroom, under load in a field, or through ten years of daily use in a hospital ward.
Quiet by design
Helical gearing and damped end-stops keep noise below the threshold that wakes a light sleeper.
Built for duty cycle
Motors and gear sets are matched to how often your product actually moves, from occasional to continuous.
Sealed against the environment
IP-rated housings up to IP66 for washdown, outdoor and agricultural applications.
Certified where it matters
ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 coverage across our manufacturing sites.
Four markets, and the products behind them
Each market card lists the product families our engineering team most often draws on for that use case.

FAQ
Do you hold ISO certifications?
Yes. Our manufacturing sites are certified to:
- ISO 9001 — quality management system
- ISO 13485 — quality management for medical devices
- ISO 14001 — environmental management
Certificates are available on request through our downloads page.
Do you offer standard, off-the-shelf products?
Each product family has a standard starting configuration, but nearly every unit we ship is adapted to a specific customer's stroke length, load rating, housing or control interface.
How do I find my nearest sales representative?
Visit our locations section and select your region, or submit the inquiry form and a representative will follow up directly.
My equipment stopped working — can you repair or replace a part?
We manufacture exclusively for original equipment manufacturers and do not sell or distribute individual components. If a unit in your equipment has failed, please contact the manufacturer of that equipment — replacement parts are often available directly from them under warranty.
